Welcome to our magical realm...

We’re proud to announce that Cents 1.1 is now out! Some highlights of this release include the ability to export CSV files, basic budgeting (or “allowance”), the ability to report bugs, and a fix to an export bug in the older version. There are more changes, but you should just try it for yourself! You can download the update on the Cents page or you can just open up Cents (or uncheck then check the check for updates preference) and have Cents update itself. Enjoy!

Two short things I’d like to touch on today. First, Cents for iPhone and iPod Touch. We already coded the whole app, but decided it wasn’t quite up to par with our own expectations. Thus, we’ve started again from scratch to make sure we’re bringing you quality apps. More on that later.

Second,  we’re quite aware of the export bug that found it’s way into our desktop version! We’re sorry for making everyone wait, but rest assured, we have found a solution. The new update should be released (possibly with some new features) by the end of the week.

So far, Cents has been doing very well. So, why not put Cents on iPhone? That’s exactly what we’ve been working on. In fact, we’re so devoted that each of us are getting an iPod Touch test it! Sure, we could use the iPhone Aspen Simulator, but nothing’s as good as the real deal.

We plan on allowing syncing between the desktop and iPhone apps. Thanks to everyone who have supported us this far!

Introducing Cents, a pocket app for your pocket change. It offers a clutter-free interface that sits nicely in your menubar. It’ll help you find out exactly where all your spare cash is going. Check it out!

I held a fun little contest among the MacThemes community to guess the name of this app just from its icon. Here’s an interesting list of names guessed: iMoney, iCash, Little boys money, PocketMoney, something ridiculous, MageMoney, Coins, Money, Change, iCoins, CoinCounter, Cash, Cashier, MacMage, PocketChange, Pocket Money, Carrier, Coinage, Currency, Coins, PickPocket, Chips, Pennies, Budget, Moolah, Gerudo, Yoink (huh?), Thieves, Wages, and Euros. Congrats to user jbanger for correctly guessing “Cents.”

Hey everyone, we’re still alive and kicking! We’ve had to budget our time with other projects and activities going on. That’s what happens when two of us have to invest our time in college! Anyways, we have been working on a pocket app lately, so make sure you check in from time to time to see what’s new!

We’re happy to announce that your lives will be filled with a little more magic thanks to Santa’s Gizmo 2.1! In this update we’ve squashed numerous bugs, including some with saving and with adding items to lists. We’ve also added some cool new graphics as well as a way to change the default name that shows up when you add items to lists (which can now be done by hitting command-option-n). Finally, we’ve added a little menu item in the help menu to send off a bug report when you find something that’s not quite right. We’re eager to get those bugs squashed out permanently. :) Download it here.

Combining our magic, we were able to forge the ability to create duplicates of Santa’s little toy. Starting now, family packs are available for only $25, and licenses may be used within a household! Got a family with ten kids? No problem, it’ll cost just the same!

On other news, we are planning to continue Santa’s Gizmo development to create new features and zap annoying bugs until the end of the year. Thanks for your support, and if you find a bug crawling on your gizmo, let us know!

Through trial and hazards, we the mages fought the toughest of foes, from deadly Blood Elves to the mightiest Dementors. We’ve gained immense experience and put our magics to the test. More powerful than ever, we present to you… the new MacMage!

Though Menu Butler stays the same, Cypher sports a newly updated icon (Leopard ready) and Santa’s Gizmo is no longer available? Why? Because we jacked Santa’s new Gizmo and we’re putting that up instead.

Spirits high and feeling generous? Got a list of gifts you gotta get for those pesky little kids and cousins? Check out Santa’s Gizmo 2 now!
